This is another text editor, which handles larger files than Notepad and also contains some formatting tools, such as various font and paragraph styles. WordPad uses the Word for Windows 6.0 .doc file format by default, but can also read text and Windows Write files. It is, however, no real substitute for a decent word processor. The program has undergone no significant changes since its release with Windows 95.
